Rosehip

Rosa canina L.

rosehip

Safety Notes

Generally very well tolerated. The fine hairs inside the hip (used historically as itching powder) are typically removed in commercial dried product, but home-processed rosehips should be strained well through a fine cloth to avoid throat irritation. Those prone to kidney stones may want to moderate intake given the oxalate content.
