What is inside

All 78 cards

Upright and reversed meanings, the imagery and symbolism, and the numerology of every card in the deck.

Golden Dawn correspondences

Planet and decan, element, Hebrew letter, and position on the Tree of Life, taken from the Order’s own system.

Where Waite and the Order part ways

A note on the cards where the Golden Dawn’s Book T teaches something different from the Rider-Waite reading you know.

Herbs for every card

Planetary herbs from the Teapotheca library, each linked to its full herb page.

Spreads and a reading journal

Draw one card, three, or five, with reversals if you like. Save a spread with your question and write notes on it.

Written once, not on the fly

Every card carries the same sourced text each time. Nothing is generated while you read; the draw only deals the cards.

The Emperor — Major Arcana

The Emperor

Aries (Sign) Heh (ה) Path 15: Chokmah → Tiphareth Herb: Cayenne

Authority, structure, stability, fatherly leadership.

What the Golden Dawn actually taught

Book T’s meaning is bluntly martial: “war, conquest, victory, strife, ambition.” This explains the Mars/Aries correspondence far better than Waite’s stable, fatherly authority does. Waite domesticated a card the Order read as fundamentally about conflict and conquest.

Questions

Do I need the Full Herbarium?

No. The Cauldron stands on its own. If you also want the herb library, the bundle includes both for less than buying them separately.

What do I get without paying?

The 22 Major Arcana. You can draw them and open their full card pages, including the Golden Dawn correspondences and notes.

Whose card art is it?

The illustrations follow the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the one most readers know. The Golden Dawn correspondences and notes sit alongside it.

Which tradition decides when they disagree?

The Golden Dawn is the source of record for correspondences. Each card’s meaning is the familiar Rider-Waite reading, with a note wherever the Order taught something different.

Is this fortune-telling?
