Rare case reports of liver injury exist; discontinue use and consult a healthcare provider promptly if symptoms of liver trouble appear (yellowing skin/eyes, dark urine, abdominal pain, fatigue). Avoid during pregnancy except under professional midwife or physician guidance — traditionally used near the end of pregnancy under such supervision, not for general use. Avoid with estrogen-sensitive conditions given some estrogenic activity in research, and consult a healthcare provider before use if on hormone-related medication.
