Not recommended in concentrated amounts during pregnancy — celery seed has a traditional and documented association with stimulating uterine contractions. Not recommended for anyone with a kidney condition. May interact with thyroid medication, diuretics, blood-thinning medication, sedatives, and lithium — consult a healthcare provider before regular concentrated use if you take any of these. Normal light culinary seasoning amounts carry substantially less concern than concentrated preparations.
