Safety Notes

May increase drowsiness, especially combined with sedative medication or alcohol. Avoid before driving. Consult a healthcare provider before use during pregnancy, nursing, or if on medication. Skullcap supplements have a well-documented history of adulteration with Germander (Teucrium species), a different plant containing liver-toxic compounds — several cases of liver injury attributed to skullcap in the 1990s were later traced to this substitution rather than skullcap itself. Source from a reputable supplier, and discontinue and consult a healthcare provider promptly if symptoms of liver trouble appear (yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, abdominal pain, fatigue).
