Fresh, wilted, or improperly dried wild cherry bark, leaves, and pits contain cyanogenic glycosides that release cyanide compounds — only properly dried and cured bark from a reputable supplier should ever be used, and only in modest amounts. Avoid during pregnancy and nursing. Not for children without professional guidance. Never use fresh-cut bark or wilted leaves from this tree.
